Results are published on Thursday 15th August and will be available from 8:00am, in the Digital Media Centre.

Prior to starting your studies with us in September you will need to complete the Pre Enrolment Tasks for the subjects you have chosen and you need to bring these completed tasks with you during the first week.

Results Day

Year 13 Results

Yet another extraordinary year of results for students both national and at Durham Sixth Form Centre. Two-thirds of all A-Level entries awarded at grades A*- B. Students have gained on average a Distinction/Distinction* in vocational courses. Well done!

Year 12 embark on inspiring journey to UCAS Discovery Exhibition

Over 200 Year 12 students and their Progress Tutors embarked on an inspiring journey to the Newcastle Utilita Arena to the annual UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) Discovery Exhibition.  Alongside their peers, they went to visit over 100 university, college and apprenticeship representatives to find out about different options and pathways after they leave Durham Sixth Form Centre.

Poetry by Heart Competition 

Talented students at Durham Sixth Form Centre have been taking part in an inspiring competition designed to encourage pupils in England to choose a poem, learn it by heart and perform it out loud. We are delighted to announce that Year 13 Millie Swainson, who won the competition at Durham Sixth Form Centre, has been successful in gaining a place in the national finals.

Communication Skills for Counselling and Psychotherapy

The Health and Social Care department regularly invites industry and academic experts into their classrooms to compliment students’ curriculum learning. Recently, students had the opportunity to find out how higher level communication skills are used within counselling and psychotherapy in a fascinating workshop, delivered by Suzy Hansford of Lancashire based Edge Hill University.
