Studying at Durham Sixth Form Centre is exciting, challenging and highly rewarding. Serving approximately 1,800 students from over sixty secondary schools across the North East, we offer a vibrant, adult learning environment right in the heart of Durham City centre.

Essential Event Highlights

Welcome to our Autumn Open Event! Here is everything you need to know to make the most of your visit:

Principal’s Presentations: Join Mrs Beveridge in the Theatre at 4:45pm, 5:30pm, or 6:15pm.
Timed Subject Sessions: Catch scheduled presentations in Criminology & Psychology (every 15 mins), Law, Maths & Geography (on the hour/half-hour), and Accounting & Product Design.
Dead Dog Gallery: Step inside to experience portrAlt—a student exhibition exploring photography and AI.
Refectory Support Hub: Grab light refreshments while chatting with our pastoral, academic, and progression teams.
September 2027 Applications Open: Speak with Mrs Bruce (Student Recruitment Manager) in the Refectory for guidance on applying, bus routes, bursaries and financial support.
Getting Started: Event runs 4:30pm to 7:00pm. Pick up a printed What’s On Guide and site map in the Main Building / Refectory!
