Cover Supervisor

Inspire, Support, and Lead Learning at Durham Sixth Form Centre

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with motivated young people across a wide range of Level 3 subjects in a vibrant sixth form setting.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting our commitment to high-quality learning, even in the absence of teaching staff. You’ll be responsible for guiding students through pre-set work, maintaining a positive and focused classroom environment, and ensuring that learning continues seamlessly.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in lessons where the regular teacher is absent
• Ensure students are engaged with their learning and have access to appropriate resources
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff to support lesson continuity
• Uphold high expectations for behaviour and learning
• Promote a positive, purposeful climate in the classroom
