DSFC is the perfect environment to inspire and inform trainee teachers. The outstanding staff go above and beyond to provide a rich and varied experience for PCET students. There is the opportunity to work across a variety of qualifications and subjects to ensure a wide range of experience. I have been incredibly fortunate to have had experience with standardisation, teaching networks, subject – specific trips and CPD. An important part of being on placement at DSFC as a trainee teacher is attending department meetings, staff briefings and faculty meetings. These have been central to developing an understanding of the roles within teaching.
