Performance Arts London Trip

Our Performing Arts students recently returned from an unforgettable, whirlwind trip to the heart of London’s West End. This immersive experience offered our talented students a firsthand look at world-class productions and iconic cultural landmarks.

The excitement began the moment students arrived in London. Their first stop was the vibrant hub of Covent Garden, where students soaked up the atmosphere, watched street performers and explored the historic market. In the evening, they headed to the West End to watch the legendary musical Les Misérables. The breathtaking vocals, dramatic staging and timeless story left our students completely spellbound and deeply inspired.

Day two was packed with inspiration as they explored London’s famous South Bank. The cultural walking tour included stops at landmark venues such as Shakespeare’s Globe, Tate Modern, The National Theatre, London Eye and Big Ben.

Students and staff then headed back to the theatre district for a matinee performance of the dazzling new musical, The Devil Wears Prada. The high-energy choreography, sharp comedy and spectacular costume design showed our students a completely different contemporary side of musical theatre.
Seeing industry professionals perform at the highest level has given our students fresh ideas, boosted their confidence and ignited their passion for the performing arts.
We are incredibly proud of how well our students represented Durham Sixth Form Centre throughout the trip.
