DofE Silver Success
Our Y13 students proudly received their certificates for completing the Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award from our Principal, Mrs Lain. This achievement reflects their incredible dedication, resilience and initiative throughout the programme. Each student committed countless hours to volunteering in a wide range of roles within the community, giving back in meaningful ways while gaining valuable experience. They also invested time and effort into developing both their skills and fitness, showing real determination to grow personally and practically.

As part of their journey, the group took part in four months of expedition training, preparing thoroughly for the challenges ahead. They then successfully completed a two-day practice expedition followed by a three-day qualifying expedition, facing both rain and sunshine with the same positive attitude and team spirit. Their hard work, motivation and perseverance shone through from start to finish.
We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the example they have set for younger students. Their commitment to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award reflects not only their character but also the strength of our school community. Congratulations to all involved!
