Fundraising Sports Shirt Day

Our ‘Wear Your Sports Shirt’ fundraising day was an absolute triumph, bringing our school community together for a fantastic day of friendly competition and incredible generosity. From vintage football kits to rugby jerseys and everything in between, Durham Sixth Form Centre was a sea of colour.

Thanks to the amazing support of staff and students we raised a remarkable amount of money for the Bradley Lowery Foundation. These proceeds will go on to support their vital work in funding medical treatments, promotional campaigns and making a positive difference to the lives of children fighting cancer.

With a fun football penalty shoot out, students lined up to to take a shot against Mr Forster and our Football Academy goalies. They put up a valiant effort, but students showed no mercy and Mr Forster is already back in training for next year!

Students and staff also tackled the obstacle course, weaving through cones to compete for the fastest time. The competition was fierce, but the most skilful walked away with some well-deserved prizes.

Seeing Durham Sixth Form Centre staff and students come together like this and having a bit of fun at the teachers’ expense, for such a heartwarming cause like the Bradley Lowery Foundation, is exactly why we love what we do.
