Welcome to Durham Sixth Form Centre.  Not your most typical start to a new year or the spring term!  

Our school is still open, albeit on a much smaller scale during this lockdown period, so rest assured if there is anything you wish to talk to us about we are still here.

If you are an existing student, you will be reading the weekly Student Briefing notes which keep you up-to-date with notices, teaching and learning expectations, progression information and support for your health and wellbeing.  You also have access to your Student Dashboard which has a plethora of additional information and guidance, all at your fingertips.

For current parents, you too can read the weekly Student Briefing notes accessible on your Parent Dashboard.  I will continue to write to you at key times throughout the Lockdown and academic year to keep you abreast of urgent matters.  For Y12 parents, I will take this opportunity to mention the up and coming online Parents Consultation Evenings which are scheduled for the end of February.  We will provide more information about how to arrange appointments and how to access our online platform nearer the time.

Future students, if you are looking to apply to Durham Sixth Form Centre to study with us from September 2021 please take the time to read through the information and links that are provided for you on our website.  If you have an interview in the coming weeks, our team will have already been in touch with you about new arrangements.  If you have submitted your application and haven’t yet heard back from us yet, then please do not worry we will be in touch.  If you are still interested in applying but haven’t completed your application form, you can do so through the link on our website.  It is looking more and more unlikely that we will be able to open our school in April for our annual April Open Evening event for prospective students so please watch this space for further information nearer the time for alternative arrangements.
